There has been much speculation following a Wirral Council Cabinet Paper last October about the future of this school and Pensby High School for Girls which discussed the possibilities of amalgamation or federation. After extensive discussions the Governing Bodies of both schools are proposing the formation of what is known as a hard federation the details of which are explained in the accompanying consultation document. Both Governing Bodies are determined that single sex education will be preserved in this community and the move to hard federation is, they believe, the way forward.
The attached consultation document gives full information on what is being proposed, the reasons for it and the impact it will have on the schools. I would urge you to read the document which explains that the Governors wish to hear your response and gives details of how responses can be made in writing, by attending a consultation meeting or indeed a drop in session. Full details are given in the document itself.
If any parent or carer wishes to seek clarification on this proposal please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely
Mr P Sheridan
